Guten Morgan folks!!
We are here in Berlin at a costco like hostel called The Generator. Berlin, as I remembered, is amazing and fun. We went on a four hour walking tour yesterday, that took us all the way from east to west Berlin. Some things we saw...Brandenburg gate, Berlin Wall, the Reichstag (government building), the museum island, Berliner Dome (this is my favorite European church)...
Weather has been great, yesterday it was mostly sunny and it seems like it will be another warm day today.
Backtracking a little...before we came here to Berlin, we made a stop in Dortmund, Germany to visit a friend, Matthias, who was a wonderful tour guide throughout the town where he works and lives. He treated us to baguette sandwiches, we walked around town, getting some history, and then stopped for some biers :) at a travel agency of all places... Shout out to Matthias: Amanda and I had a great time visiting you in Dortmund! Danke por todo, was so great seeing you!!
Today, our plan is to go to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp about 30ish minutes outside of Berlin.
I feel so fortunate to be here and be traveling through Europe. There are moments when it really hits me, that, wow, I am doing this and back here in Europe again!! It is an amazing feeling. Haha, I do not by any means feel like an old pro, but it definitely has a nice familiarity being back here.
Lots more stories to share, but it is breakfast time. I will probably eat salami and cheese sandwiches, on some really great rolls, and perhaps some yogurt, and definitely coffee...great night sleep last night but still pretty beat!!
Ich liebe Deutschland! Excuse the spelling.
Ciao amigos y familia! Til next time.....PS, next stop, Munich!!

Amsterdam!
Got to Amsterdam today and am loving it, such a classic European town; and then throw some coffee shops in. :) We strolled around town today and hit a few local coffee shops and grabbed a fantastic dinner of baguettes, salamis, and cheeses. Soooo delicious.
Tonight Jay, Spencer and I went out to experience Amsterdam's nightlife and it was super fun. European nightlife is so happening. Tomorrow Amanda and I will be going to meet up with my German friend Matthias and I can't wait to see him. We'll go from here to Dortmund, where he lives, and then take a train to Berlin! - one of my favorite cities in Europe that I've been to!
Wish you all could be here! The other three are doing great...it's bed time in Amsterdam!
Gute nacht!

Greetings from Glasgow
Good morning friends and fam. We took a train to Glasgow, Scotland last night. We found a comfortable, cozy place to stay relatively easy so that was a bonus. Very small rooms and bathrooms, but it's Europe!
So, last night after we settled into our hotel and freshened up, we made our way to a bar/restaurant called Wetherspoon. This was at about 10:45pm. Unfortunately, they stopped serving food at 10pm. So off we were in search of food, and man was it a search...sadly enough we ended up at none other than America's finest, TGI Friday's. Haha we were bummed but it was a last resort so we made it happen.
People are friendly here in Glasgow and it's easy to get around.
And now for updates on all of us: Jay is going to frolick with the sheep, Amanda felt underdressed and 2 centuries ahead of the style, Spencer likes scotch better than Hennesey, and me, I loved being able to sleep horizontally for the first time in over 24 hours, woo woo.
Off to tour Glasgow in daylight, and then onto Edinburgh!
Lots of love,
The Fabulous 4. :)

First leg down!
We made it to Minneapolis and Amanda struggled with the 4 hour flight, so it should make the next one interesting. :) Spence has been floating on cloud nine, and me, I can stop saying "I can't believe this is happening!!
On the droid now so not gonna write long. Can't freakin wait to be in foggy London town. I'm getting excited because at the place we're eating there are a bunch of British people getting "pissed." :)
On that note, cheers mate!
Signing off from Minneapolis/St. Paul

Europe...Here I come!!!!!
It's so unreal, but soon, tomorrow at 2:25pm to be exact, I will be Europe bound for the first time in 5 years. I am so incredibly excited I can barely contain myself. ;)
It seems like a good place to pick up with blogging again, while I have some really exciting juice to share; cause I know some pretty exciting things will be going down, how could they not when traveling abroad!?!?
I have been talking with a couple of friends that I studied abroad in Spain with tonight on the phone and I'm getting so pumped to get back there; not only Spain, but Europe in general. I'm so incredulous right now. So many memories have been flowing back to me.
Mostly though, I cannot stop thinking about Granada and all I want to do there...Hicuri, La Blanca Paloma, Babylon, La Dolce Vita, Granada 10, Albaycin, Teterias, Mouhammad, Soufian....I am soooo freakin excited to get back there. I'm also hoping I'll get to see my Spanish advisor, only one of the sweetest and most wonderful ladies I've ever known. I hope I hope I hope!!
Other than Spain, I'm super excited for all the places I've never been: Vienna, Amsterdam, Glasgow....And also of course excited to get back to Germany. In Germany I'm hoping to get to see my old friend Matthias, it would be absolutely lovely.
So here's to an amazing adventure in Europe for the next couple of weeks. I'm hoping I will actually keep up with this thing while I'm there so I'll have something to look and read back on other than my pocket journal.
I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, or on the plane for that matter, it's better than the night before Christmas!! And that's not just because I'm half Jewish. ;) ;) Had to throw something corny in there....
See you on the other side folks....OF THE GLOBE...or perhaps on the plane ride there!!
Besos y Abrazos!
